Justification of the Jury:
For his deeply moving and hopeful portrayal and his unique ability to take the audience on an emotional journey, we award the SEEFF Award for best actor to Dragos Bucur in the Romanian film „Hawaii“.

Justification of the Jury:
Our SEEFF-Award for the best actress 2018 goes to Adriana Mathoshi in the movie “Unwanted“ from Kosovo for her raw, expressive and hauntingly mesmerizing performance.

Justification of the Jury:

„The Jury gives the award for the best actor posthumiously to Nebojša Glogovac for his role of Vjeko Kralj in the Croatian Movie „The Constitution“ by Rajko Grlic. He distinguished himself through a sincere yet vivid and convincingly authentic peformance. The film and theatre world as well as the audience will miss this incredible actor.“

Justification of the Jury:
The award for „best actess“ goes to Gorica Popović for the Serbian film “Goats Ears” aka “ Out of the Woods” for the strong, credible, authentic and optimistic performance of a grandmother who takes care of her grandchildren in postsocialist Serbia.

Justification of the Jury:
„The SEEFF- award for best directing goes to Vassilis Mazomenos, director of the greek film „Line“. We award the directorial achievement to a highly aesthetic and artistic film with an intriguing structure and a critical perspective on the socio –political dimensions in today's Greece.“

Justification of the Jury:
„The award for the best directing goes to Mr. Edon Rizvanolli, director of the film „Unwanted“ from Kosovo. It managed to create a beautiful connection with the audience and showed us in a nuanced, authentic and visually beautiful story of a young boy, finding his love, but then being faced with the obstacles and cruelties of his and his mother’s past.“
