SEE ACTRESS 2018
The Artistic Council of the SEE FF decided to give the prestigious award Grand Prix SEE ACTRESS 2018 to the famous Bulgarian actress Tzvetana Maneva. She's one of the most famous Bulgarian actresses off all time. She was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Her father is an actor, too. His name is George Manev. She started her career very badly, because she could not enrol in NATFIZ - the best Bulgarian academy for actor, directors etc. Her problem was that she could not say the letters „r“ and „l“. But after many exercises she was accepted.
Maneva finished her education in 1966. Her classmates were Ilka Zafirova, Ruth Rafailova and many more famous Bulgarian actresses. Her debut was in 'Kaloyan'. First marriage was with the operator Nickolay Penchev. That relationship produced one daughter - Nadejda, born in 1969. Her famous movies are: „Avtostop“', „Dami kanyat“, „12 miga ot Tzvetana“ (which is a documentary movie about her), „Opasen char“, „Voynata na taralejite“, „Edna kaloriya nejnost“, „Izpepelyavane“ and so on. Now she is married to Iavor Milushev, an actor and a politicion. In 2004 Tzvetana celebrated her 60th birthday.
Mrs Maneva has also played in the theatre. Her famous appearances are in 'Opera za Tri Grosha', „Svekurva“, „Nora“, „Albena“, „Medeia“ and so on. For her 60th birthday the theatre director - Margarita Mladenova invited Tzvetana and another famous Bulgarian actress - Maria Kavardjikova to play in David Hare's play „Breath of Life“ - „I Chovekut Stana Jiva Dusha“.

SEE FILM LEGEND 2018
In memoriam Lucian Pintilie
09.11.1933 - 16.05.2018
Lucian Pintilie was a Romanian film director, actor and screenwriter. Pintilie studied at the Bucharest Theatre and film School and, after completing his studies, staged numerous pieces at the Bucharest theater Bulandra. As an actor he worked 1963 in the film Valurile Dunării by the director Liviu Ciulei. His debut as a film director was the movie „Duminică la Ora 6“.
„Reconstituirea“" was his second film in Romania. Directors such as Pintilie and Radu Gabrea represent the short but internationally acclaimed departure of the Romanian film at the end of the 1960s.

With grief we experienced the death of the Romanian cinema veteran Lucian Pintilie.
A loss for the film world and especially for our current edition SEEFF # 3, where Lucian Pintilie should be awarded as „See film legend 2018" at the opening event. Now the award will hopefully keep awake the memory of him .
The prize is awarded to him post mortem.
The eulogy is held by the Ambassador of Romania H.E Emil Hurezeanu.
